We brought Emerson home today (one day early) since her and Julie are doing great. We have been a bit nervous about introducing her to Grace for some time now, but other than a few lightning quick licks, they got along quite well. We then showed Emerson her new room, she thought it was sweet. She curiously explored some of the amenities before napping for about an hour. She was just as content as can be in her new room. So content that Julie kept checking to make sure that the baby monitor was indeed working, which it was. Everything is so much better than we even imagined it.

A Keeper
Well, everything went swimmingly well.
Suddenly we are the very proud parents of a healthy 9lb 6oz baby girl. She measured at 22in and has a full head of dark hair. Julie was tremendous for the whole ordeal and could not have looked more beautiful doing it. Emerson was born at 9:47am. via planned Cesarean at Bronson Hospital. We are pretty exhausted as Emerson has a healthy set of lungs which she proudly flaunted most of the night. Of course as soon as the sun came up she turned into a little angel and has pretty much been that way since.
Thank you to everyone who has visited, called or held us in their thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate the support and love of each one of you.
We love to show her off so feel free to call and stop by.

Unfavorable cervix
It seems Emerson is quite stubborn and unwilling to budge, despite our efforts to coax her out. So we have decided to go after her on Saturday, March 29 at 9:00 am (9 days past the original due date!).
Here is a photo of Julie at her largest.

The ultrasound that we had on Monday estimated Emerson's weight to be 8 lbs., 12 oz. (give or take a pound).
