Bye bye Summer

I have to wake up to an alarm clock tomorrow. To go to work. Yuck. That means that the summer is officially over! We've been busy for the most part over the last month. The weather has been more fall like than sweltering August like, so we've spent more time inside than I would've liked. Here's what we've been up to:

A fierce kickball match with our friends - it was the 'Breeders' (i.e. those of us who have bred) and the Youthgroup (i.e. those who have not). Little did we know that two members (or I guess four) of the breeders were still breeding/ had secretly bred again. We should've gotten some additional points for having two pregnant women out on the field. No such luck.

The arrival of the Breeders - kids, toys, and snacks in tow.
The official team photo of the Breeders (and the stuff that accompanies us).

The Youthgroup had official jerseys. So sassy.

Our dugout/ fenced play area (complete with two babysitters).

Taking a nap during our beach vacation to Grand Haven.

We went to a local park with my friend Missy and her two kids Charlie and Sophia - it may have been the last nice day for beach going.

There is a playground right next to the beach, which coincidentally is the most perfect set up for little kids - arrive in the morning, do some swimming, have some lunch, and play until completely exhausted and head home in the afternoon for naps. We'll definitely be getting a pass for next year.

We completed our summer session of tumblekids. At the end of each session, they get an award (it is the bright yellow ribbon Emerson is so excitedly clutching in a later photo.). We'll be continuing tumbling through the fall and winter during drop in sessions on Saturdays.

And finally, some photos of our days trapped inside due to too many days of cold and rain.

Adios Summer!
