We extended our holiday weekend on Monday by taking Emerson to Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek. It was ridiculously hot, but we all had fun nonetheless - Grant was even a trooper and slept through the whole afternoon. The main attraction this year at the zoo are the baby giraffes - you can even feed them. Emerson had a great time!!

Emerson made several decent attempts to make friends with this peacock by chasing it trying to "see it". No such luck, the peacock wasn't interested.
