We are now the proud parents of a child with a drug allergy

We did not even make it one week without going to see the pediatrician. Wednesday, I picked Emerson up from daycare and found that she had two red dots and her face & Karie proceeded to show me the red dots that she had everywhere else. Apparently she woke up from her afternoon nap covered in these things. Some were giant and others were small. So, off to the doctor's we go...again. The diagnosis: she is allergic to the Amoxycillin that they gave her for her ear infection (which has cleared up, by the way). Fortunately, the hives didn't bother her and she ate, slept, and acted normally, just didn't look her usual cute self - a much more pitiful version instead. Just today she has begun to look normal again - yesterday was the worst by far with huge red splotches all over her face, arms, and legs. I would say that she is 98% better today.
You can see that she looks much better today (even considering the runny nose and drool soaked sweatshirt).
The first daycare art project from Emerson. Soooo cute! I am excited to fill the front of our refrigerator with these!

And finally, some pictures from last weekend.

Oh - poor girl. She still looks cute with splotches. I forgot about the stripey purple outfit - looks very cute on her.

I am sorry to hear of all the visits to the medical offices. At least you have good insurance!!! Glad to see things are going well.
